Educational Portfolio
Inspiring future Steampunk artists and serving as a resource and ambassador to the wider community curious about art and design, repurposing found objects, and Janusian (opposite) thinking are all integral to ModVic’s philosophy.
We have hosted and participated in many public events, workshops, seminars, and speaking engagements for both adult and student audiences. ModVic works with educators to develop customized lessons and material that will engage and motivate audiences.
In the past, we have received excellent response and feedback, especially when presentations are paired with museum exhibits or private art showings and events.
A few examples of past work include:
-
S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) Youth Workshop: Presented to students after viewing ‘Humachines Exhibit’ in Idaho Falls, ID
-
Steampunkinetics: Building Art into Science: Creative workshop for autistic students – a 9-week program presented in collaboration with Professor Ashleigh Hillier (PhD), UMass Lowell
