As ModVic’s owner and principal artist/designer, I am excited to bring a collection of personal projects called ‘Flights of Reimagination’ – to the public through our newly launched eStore.

After Melanie and I created “Steampunk Wonderland” – our home/gallery/workshop in an 1876 gothic church located in Palmer MA – I have been even more creatively productive in recent years.

Throughout my Steampunk journey, I have collected an amazing assortment of antiques, devices and architectural objects. Having a dedicated space to nurture my artistry and organize all of my incredible period objects has inspired me to focus on and complete a number of recent Steampunk flight themed sculptures.

The Flights of Reimagination collection is part of my ongoing quest to express my creativity and offer my own fusion of the past, present, and future.

Flying machines inspired by da Vinci, Jules Verne and other visionaries that are themed around our early inventions in the film, medical, dental, optical industries using authentic machines, tools and equipment that help to tell the story of innovation and resilience.

Over the years my theory of Steampunk artwork and design has evolved into combining Janusian (opposite) thinking and the concept of fusing history + art + technology. The goal is not to duplicate something that has already been created, but rather to put a novel spin on something that is already familiar.

It’s all about invention and innovation. In the end – it’s coming up with something entirely reimagined from where the creative thread first started.

While the pieces highlighted here are from a personal collection, my true passion lies in the creative problem-solving process. I love to collaborate with others and come up with designs that reflect the client’s own personal history and future vision.

I’m always available for commissioned artwork for both corporate and non-profit organizations as well as for private buyers looking to create a family heirloom sculpture celebrating a personal history or triumph.

So, let’s connect. Come visit me to see the artwork in person and have a tour of Steampunk Wonderland.
