In this video, WCVB reporter and producer Ted Reinstein gives viewers a tour of Bruce Rosenbaum’s home gallery and studio, Steampunk Wonderland, a converted cathedral originally built in the late 1800s.

The news segment explores the idea of Steampunk art as a symbol of Resilience. Rosenbaum gives examples of repurposing antiques and vintage items, then fusing them with today’s technology, thus giving them a second “life”.

Creating a new spin on the familiar and combining History + Art + Technology inspires Bruce’s Steampunk art. It often results in a “mashing up” of different time periods.

The news segment also shows the evolution of ModVic from “that Steampunk House” in Sharon, MA to the company’s new headquarters in Palmer.
